Not gonna lie, this is dangerous territory for us. My subconscious is a tripping hazard.
Hello, and welcome to another edition of my subconscious mind's thoughts and miscellaneous things.
So, the holidays are approaching, and we are getting to that point of asking for things.
Having said that, I'm asking for one teeeeeny little thing - a really cool exercise. I'm going to give you a writing prompt and I want you to come up with a small/short story that revolves around the idea.
Ready? Ok, Here we go! Take your time. I won't judge you. I'm just curious if your mind goes in the same directions as mine.
Immortality - One Person’s Life 159 Years In The Making:
Being immortal - every ten years, the person needs to reinvent themselves. New identity, New look, New Style, New Career, etc.
Four questions that need to be answered:
- What year were they born and what year is it now? (i.e. what’s their timeline they are currently living in? The future? The past?)
- How do they establish their new identity? (i.e. in their timeline, what’s technology like? How careful do they need to be?)
- Attachments. Relationships. Friends. (i.e. how do they live their day to day lives knowing that they eventually need to start over with no one knowing who they really are?)
- Any “heirlooms” that would/should be passed down, and what’s the risk of owning them? (i.e. what if someone recognized it, then recognizes you?)
Bonus question: So, do they ever go back to being who they were? Name, style, etc…?
You don't have to. It's obviously not mandatory. I just want to see how creative you can be.
In the meantime, My book makes for a great gift this holiday season.
I will not be sending out a 'subconscious' email the next two weeks due to the holiday and new years.
So, if you celebrate it, I hope you have a great holiday. Otherwise, I hope you have a great week and enjoy the rest of your Hanukkah, or your days of togetherness, or just have a great couple of weeks.
Just remember that I appreciate every one of you. |
